London-born Liam Rosenior started his career with Bristol City, making his professional debut against Stoke City in April 2002.

He became a regular in the side the following season, making 23 league appearances, but the highlight of his breakthrough campaign came at the Millennium Stadium, where he scored as the Robins beat Carlisle United 2-0 in the Football League Trophy.

His performances in midfield brought him to the attention of Fulham, and he headed to Craven Cottage that summer but was immediately sent out on loan to League Two Torquay United – where father Leroy was manager at the time.

He was handed his Premier League chance in 2004/05 and went on to enjoy three seasons in the Cottagers’ first-team, where he established himself as full-back and became a fans’ favourite.

In 2007 he moved to Reading and featured regularly in the Royals’ one season of Premier League football, likewise in the Championship the following season.

In 2009/10 he headed to Ipswich Town where he made 31 appearances on loan, before joining Hull City on a permanent deal in October 2010.

He helped the Tigers win promotion to the Premier League in 2012/13 and made a total of 144 league appearances, including 42 in the top flight.

Rosenior appeared at left-back in City’s 2014 FA Cup final line-up against Arsenal but he featured sparingly the following season.

After signing for Brighton, Rosenior became a key player in the club’s push for promotion, and despite missing a large part of the current campain, the full-back returned from injury for the final push.

Liam has also won international honours; he’s played for England at under-20 level and made seven appearances at under-21 level, playing in the 2007 European Championships.
